Call Richard Burr (202) 224-3154 and Mark Warner’s (202) 224-2023 offices and demand they focus all questions to Comey on whether Trump engaged in conduct designed to blunt the Russia investigation. Tell them you don’t care about unmasking or leaking, you care about whether our Executive Branch is compromised by a foreign enemy power.

Post on your social feeds the time of Comey’s testimony on Thursday. We want jam-packed viewership on this one.

The Paris Agreement is a landmark international agreement aiming to protect the globe from climate change. As announced Thursday, June 1, Donald Trump is pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement, even though a majority of Americans—including a majority in every state—think we should stay in. Even the major business players, like Google, Microsoft, Walmart, and others, know it’s a good idea to stay in. National security experts think we should stay in. Our closest allies urged Donald Trump to stand by the agreement. Nearly every other country in the world stands by the Agreement—with Trump’s action, the U.S. stands alone with Syria and Nicaragua in rejecting the Agreement.

Trump wasn’t alone in making this terrible choice. He had the backing of over 20 Republican senators that sent him a letter urging him to leave the agreement. Make no mistake—they are complicit in this terrible decision for our country and should be held accountable for their part in it.

This decision ignores the best interests of all Americans, including our most vulnerable communities. Deciding not to stand with the rest of the world in taking urgently needed climate action endangers public health, energy innovation, and public safety. Leaving the agreement disadvantages U.S. businesses as the world transitions to cleaner energy, and it would cede American international leadership on climate change to countries like China. Clean energy jobs will grow overseas, instead of here in the U.S., and more kids will grow up with asthma because of Trump’s refusal to move away from dirty fossil fuel energy.

If one of these Republican senators represents you, tell him that he made the wrong call and that his constituents want to stand with the rest of the world in protecting our planet from climate change.

SAMPLE CALL DIALOGUE

Caller: Good morning/afternoon! I saw recently that [Senator] signed on to a letter to President Trump encouraging him to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. Is that right?

Staffer: Yes, that’s right.

Caller: I’m extremely disappointed to hear that. A majority of Americans—including a majority in every state—think we should stay in the agreement. Even businesses like WalMart, BP, and Microsoft think we should stay in. Why does [Senator] think we should join with Syria and Nicaragua and leave?

Staffer: [Senator] thinks we need to relieve the extreme regulatory burden that the previous Administration and the Paris Agreement puts on our country. It kills jobs and is a bad deal for America.

Caller: That’s too bad. Pulling out of the Paris Agreement abdicates our position of leadership in the world, and lets countries like China gain more influence. It’s also terrible for our environment. Does [Senator] care about protecting our environment?

Staffer: [Senator] believes in protecting our environment but the Paris Agreement is not the way to go about it.

Caller: I’m glad to hear [Senator] wants to protect the environment even though he wants to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. He can push back on the Trump budget, which cuts EPA by funding 31% and jeopardizes our clean air and clean water. Please tell [Senator] I think we should stay in the Paris Agreement and that I do not support funding cuts to the EPA. Please take down my contact information so that you can let me know if [Senator] changes his mind and let me know if he protects EPA funding.

Ask them to keep up the good work and get to the bottom of Trump’s collusion with Russia! Tell them you support impeachment!
